Race on Wilmington Riverfront collecting clues, picking up markers, meeting shop keepers, and performing
required tasks or questions to complete the Amazing Race in record time. This family event features more
than 20 participating venues beginning at the Chase Center from 12  noon to 3 PM. Team winners can win great prizes.

Congratulations to the Buxton, aka the " Slightly Mischievous Riverfront Rabbits", who finished First Place in the 2012 Amazing Riverfront Wilmington Race.

Second Place went to the Horn Family, aka Team "Wii No It All"

Family participate as a group (team of 3 or 4 people)

Must have a Creative Family Team Name (Most creative name wins a prize)

Online Pre-registration is recommended. You can sign up on race day, but spots are limited.

Pick Up Race Map and Special Race Passes at the Info Desk in the Chase Center

Starts at 12 Noon from the Lobby of the Chase Center

Participating families can earn great prizes including a special grand prize for four to be announced.

Special Race Pass gives Family Team access to participating places along
the Wilmington Riverfront.

  1. Teams can start the race at 12 Noon and must be finished by 3 PM.
    Each team is scored on accuracy, completeness and quickest time.

  2. Family Teams are given a Race Map with questions, riddles, special tasks
    and clues

  3. Family teams will complete the assigned tasks, collect the markers, find
    clues and answer the riddles using means available.
