The 9,000-square-foot restaurant, featuring a deck and outdoor children's play area, is located at the former Sardo Warehouse site at Riverfront Wilmington just north of the Shipyard Shops.

Joe's Crab Shack at Riverfront Wilmington offers a casual, family-friendly atmosphere with seating capacity for approximately 200 people inside and another 100 on the deck overlooking the Riverwalk and Christina River. The menu includes a wide variety of selections including appetizers, salads, shrimp, seafood combination platters, chicken, steak, kids' favorites, and plenty of crabs. The restaurant is especially known for its Dungeness Crab (barbecued, garlic or steamed), and also serves Snow Crab, Crab Cakes and King Crab.
