Get in Shape with the Riverwalkers Challenge

The Riverwalkers Challenge is a great way to compete against other teams for prizes and to get in shape at the same time. Each team will consist of 25 or less people and will compete against other teams on a per capita basis. The Wilmington Riverwalk offers a marked 1 mile course with great scenic views. All teams must use the Wilmington Riverfront Riverwalk to log their miles. There will be three separate Riverwalker challenges throughout the summer. Each team will need one designated captain to input their teams total miles logged over a five week period. The team with the most miles logged in that five week period on a per capita will be the winner of one of 3 prizes. Designated team captains must submit their team roster no later than 3 days prior to the start of each challenge. For more information or to enter please email: info@riverfrontwilm.com. WYRA teaches the wonderful sport of rowing to area youngsters ages 10 through high school. WYRA uses crew as a vehicle to raise self-esteem, teach responsibility, self-discipline, sportsmanship, pursuit of excellence and teamwork.
