The Riverfront Development Corporation of Delaware invites families to head down to Riverfront Wilmington on Saturday, August 20^th from 11 – 4 PM for a day of play at the 2^nd Annual Horizon Services’ Riverfront FamilyFest.  This is a free family event and offers something fun for everyone.  The fun starts at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, where families can play on the mega obstacle courses and slides, soccer kick, Holley ball and tee-ball.  Check out the “Get up and Move Stage” emceed by Dana McDonald with programs every hour.  Move to the sounds of the Imagination Players.  Dance to all the latest tunes, and join YoJo’s “Treat your Body Right” program.

Sign up for the “Amazing Riverfront Wilmington Race” which starts at 12 PM.  Families will race to complete the hunt, searching for clues, answers to riddles, collecting pictures and tokens to complete the map at participating attractions and businesses on Riverfront Wilmington. Families of 3 or more will use their skill to win great prizes including the grand prize - a trip to Washington D.C. with four round trip Amtrak tickets, dinner gift certificate and a hotel stay.  Families can pre-register online at www.riverfrontfamilyfest.com or that day.

New this year, Horizon Services is stepping up to replenish the Food Bank of Delaware by asking families attending Riverfront Familyfest to drop off non-perishable food or to make a cash donation.  In exchange they will be entered to win an Apple I-Pod Touch, compliments of Horizon Services.  Volunteers from Horizon Services and the Food Bank of Delaware will be on hand to accept donations and talk about their programs.
