THE PEOPLES FESTIVAL our TRIBUTE TO BOB MARLEY was born out of the LOVE and RESPECT that Ibis had for his beloved bretheren, The Honorable Robert Nesta Marley. Ibis wanted to draw attention to the connection Bob has in Wilmington. This is where Ibis had the opportunity to meet Bob and his family. This was a life altering experience for Ibis and he wanted to share that with the world.
For the past twelve years Ibis and his wife Genny have continued to bring top ranking Reggae and World Beat Music artists to Wilmington, Delaware on the first Saturday in August.  These productions have included artists like Morgan Heritage, Richie Havens, Justin Hines, Toots and The Maytals, Nappy Roots, Mutabaruka, The Abysinians, Culture and others.  We have been blessed with the presence of Queen Cedella Marley Booker, his loving mother, and all of his performing sons.  Ziggy Marley, Damian Jr. Gong, Steven Marley, Kymani Marley and Julian Marley all appeared together for the first time in the state of Delaware on our stage.
We are thankful for the hundreds of Volunteers and the thousands of attendees who have made our continued success possible.  We praise Jah for the favor that the media and other business organizations have given us. We know that it takes Unity to make things happen.
