Delaware Theatre Company Announces Four New Board Members
WILMINGTON, DE - September 16, 2008 - As Delaware Theatre Company (DTC) enters its 30th Season, the company welcomes four new members to its esteemed Board of Directors: Timothy J. Constantine, Frances Gauthier, Julie Morgan, Ranney B. Ward, and Jared E. Young. "I know I speak for our entire Board and staff when I say I am thrilled to have such a great group of new Directors join as we enter our 30th season," says newly appointed Board Chair Michael T. Marquardt, who previously served as Vice President during the 2007-2008 season.
In addition to Mr. Marquardt, Nancy B. Lynch has been appointed President, and Mrs. Morgan joins the Executive Committee as Vice President/Treasurer. The Executive Committee also includes Hugh Bleemer, Vice President; Daniel E. Cruce, Jr., Esq., Vice President/Secretary; and Michael Kullman, Vice President. In addition to Mr. Constantine, Mrs. Gauthier, and Mr. Young, DTC's 2008-2009 Board of Directors includes Peter W. Atwater, David Baldt, Pamela Bell, Michael Olin Clark, Bruce E. Dozier, Harold B. Gray, Marilyn R. Hayward, Jackie Ivy, The Honorable Helene M. Keeley, Daniel F. Lindley, Dorothy deH. Lovett, R. Thorpe Moeckel, William S. Montgomery, Catherine Morgan, Edward A. Reznick, and Ranney B. Ward. Rounding out the Emeritus Board are Carol Balick, Peter H. Flint, Charles F. Richards, Jr., Esq., and William M. Shea.

Timothy J. Constantine, of Wilmington, Delaware, has served as President/CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware (BCBSD) since November 2006. Prior to joining BCBSD, Mr. Constantine served as Chief Financial Officer for Union Hospital of Cecil County Health System, Vice President of Community Health Services for St. Francis Hospital (Wilmington), and Manager for Arthur Andersen & Co. in its Audit and Business Advisory division.
Mr. Constantine holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Loyola College and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987. He currently serves on the boards of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, United Way of Delaware, Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and Wilmington Renaissance Corporation.
Frances Gauthier, of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, is of counsel in Stradley & Ronan's Wilmington, Delaware office and chairs the firm's Diversity Group. As a member of the firm's Business Practice Group, Ms. Gauthier represents both publicly and privately held business entities in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters including corporate governance, alternative entity law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and commercial lending.
Ms. Gauthier is co-chair of the American Bar Association's Section of Business Law Fellows and Ambassadors Committee. Additionally, she serves as secretary and board member of Delaware Volunteer Legal Services, is treasurer and executive committee member of the Delaware Pro Bono American Inn of Courts, and is the managing editor of the Delaware Law Review.
In November 2002, Ms. Gauthier was selected to serve as an American Bar Association Section of Business Law Ambassador for the period between 2003 and 2004. Additionally, in February 2003, Ms. Gauthier was honored with the Multicultural Judges and Lawyers Section 2003 Leadership Award.
Julie Morgan, of Wilmington, Delaware, is a Partner of Cetrulo & Morgan Group, Certified Public Accountants. She has over twenty-five years experience in public and industry accounting. Her primary areas of expertise include accounting, auditing, and taxation, providing these services to medical and legal firms, non-profit organizations, wholesale distributors, and multi-state construction companies - among others. Beyond traditional accounting and tax services, Julie has consulted with small start-up companies, assisting them in securing financing, hiring bookkeeping personnel, and implementing and maintaining internal accounting procedures.
Prior to her career in public accounting, Julie managed the accounting departments of a growing retail corporation, a local law firm, and a large non-profit trade association. She was also a controller in such industries as stainless steel manufacturing, construction and HVAC, and provided accounting services to a radiological physicians group.
Julie attained a BS in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accountancy, from California State University, while working full-time. Her professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Women Presidents Organization. She also serves as a board member for the Darlington Arts Center and the Better Business Bureau.
Ranney B. Ward, of Wilmington, Delaware, is Vice President of Wilmington Trust's private banking team, assisting private banking clients throughout the mid-Atlantic region with customized services to meet specific needs. These needs often include estate planning, stock option execution, the diversification of concentrated positions held in individual securities, and other investment-related issues. In addition, she works to secure the most appropriate financing for primary and secondary residences and investment properties.
Mrs. Ranney has more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in client relationship management. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust in 2006, she served as Vice President and Relationship Manager in Wachovia Bank's Wealth Management Division in Wilmington, Delaware.
Mrs. Ranney holds an MBA and bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware, and is also a graduate of the Cannon Trust School. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Wilmington, currently serving on its Board of Directors. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Wilmington Housing Partnership and is a member of the Forum of Executive Women and the Fund for Women.
Jared E. Young, of Media, Pennsylvania, is Senior Director of Marketing Decision Management at Barclays in Wilmington, Delaware. Having over ten years of marketing analysis experience, Mr. Young has previously worked with Advanta Bank Corp, NextCard, Inc., and JP Morgan Chase (formerly First USA Bank). As a member of Barclays microlending initiative with the YWCA Home Life Center in Wilmington, he counsels young entrepreneurs, who would otherwise be unable to obtain loans through traditional banking, on their small business plans to be approved for loans from Barclays. Mr. Young is also a volunteer for Barclays mentoring program with East Side Charter School, an urban charter school in the impoverished East Lake community of Delaware, and the first charter school in the country to be founded with the assistance of, and located within, a public housing authority's property.
Mr. Young holds a Master of Business Administration in Management from the Wharton School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts both in Regional Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
