WILMINGTON, DE – Each December, acclaimed food and drink destination Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant celebrates the season with a series of performances by The Cartoon Christmas Trio, a musical group that performs authentic arrangements of musical selections from the classic holiday TV special A Charlie Brown Christmas.  Originally aired in 1965, the special created by Charles Schulz has become the most popular holiday program throughout television history. 

“For any of us who grew up in the ’60s and ’70s, the Peanuts’ Christmas Special is as much a part of the holiday experience as holly and mistletoe,” says Founding Partner Kevin Finn. “These concerts are our favorite way of celebrating ‘the most wonderful time of the year’.”

The Cartoon Christmas Trio will perform twice on Sunday December 21st at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Wilmington, DE. The first show will start at 6:30 pm with a second show at 8:30 pm.  Performances run approximately two hours, with programs that include the score of A Charlie Brown Christmas along with selections from such other holiday favorites as The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and The Little Drummer Boy.

The Cartoon Christmas Trio formed in 1995 for the sole purpose of performing music from classic Christmas cartoons.  The music of A Charlie Brown Christmas, written by acclaimed jazz pianist and composer Vince Guaraldi, is the best-selling Christmas recording of all time.  The trio performs each song from the classic TV special, using the exact instrumentation Guaraldi specified in his original compositions, to transport listeners back to the nostalgic world of Charles Schulz’s beloved cartoon.
