DCCA Eliminates Admission Fees

Wilmington, Del. - 30 October 2008 - Effective November 1, 2008, the DCCA will eliminate all admission fees for all visitors during the museum’s regular open hours. This goodwill gesture will provide the public with the opportunity to enjoy and savor the best of today’s artistic creations at the DCCA free of charge.

The DCCA is dedicated to serving its public by providing thought-provoking programs and accessible exhibitions. The new admission-free policy will further the DCCA’s mission to ‘advance contemporary art’ by eliminating all barriers that may deter visitors from enjoying a behind-the-scenes experience of the creative process.

The DCCA has received no special funding for this campaign, but views it as a necessary step in serving our public during this time of economic uncertainty.

The new campaign will be known as “The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts. Always Free.”

DCCA’s hours are:
Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat: 10 - 5
Wed & Sun: 12 - 5
(closed Mondays)

Galleries closed for New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
