White Realty represents Planet Fitness in 18,500 sf deal with Pettinaro

 The Wilmington Riverfront landscape continues to change with the addition of Planet Fitness, a health club franchisor headquartered in Newington, New Hampshire.

 Planet Fitness, which has 281 locations nationwide and was recently ranked as one of the fastest-growing private businesses in America by Inc. magazine, will occupy the former L.L. Bean retail space at the Shipyard Center. Chris Castagno, an Associate with White Realty Associates, LLC in Greenville represented the tenant and described Planet Fitness’ choice to come to Wilmington as an exceptional opportunity. “We expect to see them grow in the Delaware market in the near future because of their attractive format and hassle-free facilities,” he added.

 The new Planet Fitness, slated to open by December, will be the company’s second Delaware location. The first opened in Newark earlier this year.
