(WILMINGTON, DE) August 16, 2010 — The Riverfront Development Corporation of Delaware will sponsor the Amazing Riverfront Wilmington Race, a scavenger hunt among 15 participating Riverfront Wilmington attractions and restaurants, as part of the First Annual Riverfront FamilyFest, being held on Saturday, August 21.  Riverfront FamilyFest is a free, fun event for families with kids of all ages that turns Riverfront Wilmington into a playground for the day. 

The race will begin at 12 Noon at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.  Teams will race along the Wilmington Riverfront collecting clues, picking up markers, meeting shop owners, and performing required tasks or questions to complete the Amazing Race in record time.  Teams will start the race at 12 Noon and must be finished by 3 PM.  Each team is scored on accuracy, completeness and quickest time.  Family Teams are given a Race Map with questions, riddles, special tasks and clues, and will complete the assigned tasks, collect the markers, find clues and answer the riddles using means available.  Team winners can win great prizes including a grand prize round trip for four to New York City including Amtrak tickets, hotel stay and dinner.
