From either the north or south, take I-95 Exit 6 in Wilmington, Delaware. Follow the signs to the Riverfront, turning onto Justison Street. Follow Justison Street to the end of the Shipyard Center. the Boathouse is located on the riverside of the Shipyard Center.
Now you can learn how to row or improve your stroke right at Wilmington's Riverfront. The Center offers youth, adult, and inner city rowing programs. With a current membership of 150 men and women, ages 18 to 80, WRC encourages both recreational and competitive rowing from April through November. The center also sponsors two regattas each year and members travel throughout the East coast to compete in regional and national regattas.
From May through August beginners can register for rowing lessons, through 'Learn to Row' and get into the spirit of this popular water sport. Annual membership dues are $500.00 and most equipment is provided by the Center.
